In a reassuring statement to the press, Bashir Danmalam, Chairman of Arewa Oil and Gas marketers, has quelled concerns over a potential fuel price increase in Nigeria.

Speaking to reporters, Danmalam emphasized the importance of patience and informed the public that there is currently no imminent plan to raise fuel pump prices.

Danmalam told Journalists that

“The backdrop for this announcement is the recent surge in the cost of the dollar, which has caused anxiety among Nigerians regarding the possibility of a fuel price hike. Arewa Oil and Gas, cognizant of the public’s worries, swiftly engaged with the retail department of the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation to address the situation.”

According to the chairman the collaborative efforts of Arewa Oil and Gas and the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation have resulted in a concrete outcome: the decision to maintain the current fuel prices. As of now, there is no impending increase in the price of fuel, offering a sigh of relief to citizens.

The Arewa Oil and Gas chairman’s address also carried a plea to the federal government.

He urged the authorities to address the challenges posed by the scarcity of the dollar. Highlighting the current economic climate, Danmalam implored the government to take swift and effective measures to alleviate the hardships faced by the Nigerian populace.
