The Shura Council of Tijjaniyya Sect has emphasized the importance of turning to prayer to find lasting solutions to security challenges and rising cost of living prevalent in some parts of the country.
In a statement jointly signed and issued to news by Malam Ibrahim Inyas Abubakar and Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa on behalf of the Publicity Committee of the Council, disclosed the Shura council of Tijjaniyya made the call on (Friday) at annual Zikir session organized by Shura Council of Tijjaniya Sect at kofar Kudu kano emir’s palace.
The Council further expressed firm rejection on the use of military force as a means to address the ongoing challenges in Republic of Niger. Instead, they advocated for the continuation of diplomatic efforts between Nigeria and Niger, highlighting the intrinsic bond between the two nations.
Acknowledging the plight of the youth, the Council called upon authorities to tackle various issues affecting young people, such as alcoholism, unemployment, and engagement in illicit activities.
Additionally, they highlighted the positive role of Sufism in disseminating Islamic knowledge, fostering better understanding, and promoting peace among people.
They also made a plea to government authorities at all levels to provide support, alleviating the burdensome situation faced by the nation’s populace.
The Council implored parents were to take an active role in their children’s education, well-being, and moral upbringing, safeguarding them from negative influences.
They collectively urged individuals to turn towards repentance and good deeds, fostering unity and compassion among themselves. Emphasizing the need for a harmonious relationship with God, they also soughted for divine mercy to alleviate the nation’s challenges.
In a noteworthy remark, the Council cautioned against misinterpreting historical texts and the opinions of past scholars, warning against distorting the community’s understanding of Islam. stressing the importance of preserving the integrity of these teachings.
Additionally, followers of the Tijjani sect were encouraged by the Council to continue adhering to the teachings of esteemed figures like Shehu Ahmadu Tijjani and Shehu Ibrahim Inyass, honoring their legacies.
As the meeting concluded, heartfelt prayers were offered for the guidance and compassion of the nation’s leaders. The Conci however hoped that leaders’ hearts would be touched by the collective concerns and aspirations of the people they serve.
