President Tinubu decorates Nigeria’s 13th General.

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has decorated Nigeria’s 13th General at the State House in Abuja.

President Bola Ahmad Tinubu appointed new service chiefs last month on June 19 to replace the ones he inherited from his predecessor, President Muhammad Buhari, who finished his tenure as Nigeria’s democratically elected President on May 29.

General Christopher Musa was appointed Chief of Defense Staff by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, succeeding General Leo Irabor after he assumed office.

Nigeria’s National Assembly confirmed the appointment of the new service chiefs by President Tinubu.

With the elevation of General Christopher Musa to his new rank of General by President Bola Ahmad Tinubu, Nigeria now has 13 indigenous Army Generals.

The historical Army Generals who have served as Nigeria’s leaders are:

General Yakubu Gowon

General Murtala Muhammad

General Olusegun Obasanjo

General Ibrahim Babangida

General Sani Abacha

General Abdulsalam Abubakar

The Army Generals who did not become Heads of State are:

General Domkat Baki

General Alexander Ogomudia

General Owoye Andrew Azazi

General Martin Luther Agwai

General Abayomi Gabriel Olanisakin

General Leo Irabor

General Christopher Musa
