As President Bola Ahmad Tinubu sends 28 individuals to be appointed as ministers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as required by the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Today, 27th July 2023, the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, read the list of 28 nominations before the Senate.

However, as the nominees were being read by the Senate President, the list is not yet exhausted, indicating that President Tinubu will send more nominations.

The two political camps in Kano, namely the Kwankwasiyya led by the NNPP National Leader Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the APC, led by the immediate past Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, were put on suspense as no names were read by the Senate President from Kano representing both political rival camps.

A source informed NIGERIAN TRACKER that the reason for the absence of nominations from Kano is that the APC camp, led by former Governor Ganduje, is insisting and pressuring President Bola Ahmad Tinubu not to nominate Kwankwaso into the federal cabinet under the APC Government.

The source stated that the Gandujiyya camp insists that they would rather lose the ministerial slot than share the cabinet with their main rival, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who led the downfall of their party in the 2023 elections in Kano
