For the umpteenth time, Jackson Ude, known for yellow journalism, is at another paid job. In a recent series of tweets, he staged a campaign of calumny against Mr. Bichi, the DGSS. He raised baseless allegations against the person of Mr. Bichi, his wife, the service, and some of its officials. Against his efforts to the discerning members of the public, the SSS has remained one of the few agencies with a long-standing history of professionalism in the discharge of its mandate and responsibilities.

In his time as DG, contacts around the Service revealed that, Bichi, has undisputedly risen the standards of the Service in many ramifications. Being a core professional, he has risen the standard of welfare, the ideals of patriotism, loyalty, and service of its staff to the country. He has also consolidated professional work ethics. It is quite absurd to claim that there are administrative breaches, contract scandals, or favoritism in DSS under Bichi. It is further laughable to assume that Mr. Bichi’s wife and his CSO are involved in contract fights. He mentioned all these without substantial proof.

Bichi, over the years, has been adjudged to be one of the Agency’s finest officers. In his 35 years and above in the Service, he is known for proficiency, competence, and most of all decency. He is an administrator, a spy master and a public servant per excellence. It was established that in any discourse about him, one can not shy away from his sterling track record of diligence in the Service.

Unsurprisingly, Ude hasshieldedd away from attending to the fundamentals of professional and ethical journalism. He has shamelessly failed to provide evidence to “When” and “How” the alleged infractions took place. This renders all the purported claims as baseless and mere conjectures. More so, Ude couldn’t have gotten any indicting circumstance(s) against the DG. He would have provided it and use it. Thus, the perambulation around the bush. Apparently, Ude and his ilk are challenged with the recent commendations trailing the excellent performances of the Service under the stewardship of Bichi. Thus, the subversive attack.

Understandably, Ude and his paymasters are allergic to the successes achieved under Bichi. Also, what could have prompted the recent attack? Is it Mr. Bichi’s perceived good working relationship with the President? Or is it the glory DSS is enjoying under Mr. Bichi’s stewardship? Or the elements wanted him replaced alongside the immediate Service chiefs. However, despite these, the President spared Mr. Bichi. Hence, the propaganda.

Obviously, Ude and his accomplices are trying all they can to accomplish one agenda. To blackmail the DSS and its leadership before the stakeholders. Nevertheless, no matter how hard a lie is sugarcoated, propaganda can never withstand the test of time.
