Aboubacar Ibrahim International University Offers Diverse Academic Programs and Language Training

Maradi, Niger – Aboubacar Ibrahim International University, under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Aboubacar, Deputy Vice Chancellor, is making significant strides in providing quality higher education to students in Niger and beyond. The university boasts a wide range of academic programs and unique language training opportunities.

Dr. Muhammad Aboubacar the DVC said with approval numbers from the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Aboubacar Ibrahim International University offers a diverse array of faculties and institutes.

According to him it include the Institute of Languages, Training and Translation, the Center for Research and African Studies, the Institute of Islamic Studies, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, the Faculty of Shari’a and Civil Law, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies.

The staff

The Faculty of Health Sciences provides courses in nursing and midwifery, while the Faculty of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies offers programs in Arabic language, Arabic literature Quran sciences, hadith sciences, jurisprudence and its principles. The Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences covers economy, public administration, business administration, and accounting.

For students interested in studying Shari’a and civil law, the Faculty of Shari’a and Civil Law offers an LLB degree. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities provides opportunities for studying sociology, social development and English language. The Faculty of Sciences and Technologies focuses on computer science, information technology, computer engineering, and renewable energies, particularly solar energy.

Moreover, Aboubacar Ibrahim International University has introduced master’s degree programs in Arabic language and Islamic studies, renewable energies, and environmental management. These programs are designed to further enhance students’ expertise in their respective fields.

The university also prides itself on its language training initiatives. Students from English-speaking countries are provided with free special training in French before the start of the 1st semester, leading to a certificate. For Muslim students, special courses in Arabic language and Islamic studies are offered, while non-Muslim students can access courses tailored to their academic needs.
