KANO, Nigeria – Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced the appointment of Honourable Hisham Habib, Chairman of the Kano Online Journalists Association, as the Managing Director of Radio Kano.
The appointment, effective immediately, was confirmed in a statement issued by Hisham Habib, who also serves as the acting spokesperson for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Hisham Habib brings a wealth of experience to the position, having served as a veteran journalist and holding a degree in English from Bayero University Kano, as well as a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from the same institution.
Prior to this appointment, Habib worked as a staff member at the state’s Ministry of Information and held the position of Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Justice.
He has also worked as a reporter for renowned media outlets, including Daily Trust newspaper and Daily Independent. Additionally, he served as the chairman of Media Cave Limited, an independent media outlet and publisher of the News Tunnel online newspaper.
Hisham Habib is happily married and blessed with children.
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his confidence in the expertise and capabilities of Habib, highlighting the importance of his role in contributing to the development of Radio Kano.
Radio Kano, a prominent broadcasting station in the region, plays a significant role in disseminating news and information to the public.
