As President Bola Ahmad Tinubu continues to consolidate his power and strives to fulfill his promise of inclusivity in governing Nigeria, he is considering appointing the following media strategists as Senior Special Assistants for Public Affairs in Northern Nigeria.
A reliable source familiar with the President’s plans informed NIGERIAN TRACKER that President Tinubu is strategizing on how to utilize these individuals to raise public awareness about the programs and policies of his administration, particularly in the North.
The individuals in question are of Hausa background, enabling them to effectively communicate the initiatives of the Tinubu administration to the predominantly Hausa-speaking population of Northern Nigeria.
Bashir Hayatu Gentile’s most recent appointment was as SLA for Public Affairs to former Senate President, Senator Ahmed Lawan. He also holds an MA in Political Communication from City University London. In 2007, he served as the Director of Publicity for the now-defunct ANPP in Kano State. Furthermore, he was the Director of Media for the ACN Governorship candidate in Kano State in 2011, as well as a Public Affairs consultant for institutions such as CBN, NPA, FIRS, TeTfund, NHIS, and the National Assembly. He possesses strong connections.
Mr. Bala Ibrahim, a former journalist with BBCHAUSA service, showcased outstanding performance with vigor and passion. He is a skilled writer and presently serves as the Director of Publicity for APC. Bala also served as a media aide to former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo Age-Age.
