Abdulmajeed Danbiliki Kwamanda, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, has stated that the party does not need former Governor of Kano state, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. This statement was made in response to moves by Senator Kwankwaso to return to the APC.

Kwamanda described Kwankwaso as a politician who switches parties without any discernible reason, stating that his primary ambition is to contest the presidency under the APC in 2027.

According to Kwamanda, they were the ones who campaigned for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and if Kwankwaso were to defect to the party, he would become a problem for the APC.

Kwamanda further accused Kwankwaso of being more interested in serving his own interests rather than the people, stating that their campaign for Tinubu in 2023 would be similar to their campaign for Buhari in 2015.

Speaking to NIGERIAN TRACKER, the politician disclosed that there were moves by Kwankwaso to rejoin the APC, urging the party’s national leadership to reject him. He also claimed that Kwankwaso was desperate to become president, citing an alleged misuse of government funds in 2015 for his presidential ambitions at Teslim Balogun stadium.

In summary, Kwamanda believes that Kwankwaso’s return to the APC would not be in the party’s best interest and that the APC should not welcome him back
