The political sophistry and rhetorics associated with the disputes of Kano gubernatorial outcome is now over.

The embers are no more smouldering followed the solemn conceding and congratulatory remarks by the defeated, Kano APC gubernatorial aspirant and deputy governor, Nasiru Yusif Gawuna to the governor-elect His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusif.

The remarks which went viral like a wild fire on mainstream media and other social media handles, it was apt, timely and appropriately suited of a man who uphold the gentlemanly template.

Undoubtedly, the gift of destiny never misses the intended recipient, Even dogmatic sceptic will not argue that.

Therefore anyone who possessed a strong convictions on the power and will of God, must accept the outcome of every mission he set to achieve – whether the outcome is favourable or contrary to his heart desires.

Perhaps, this seems to be the first time in Gawuna’s political history , he tasted the bitterness of defeat and failure in an election.

Kano Governor-elect invites people to witness presentation of certificate of return

It is awesome and very much welcoming that Dr. Nasiru Yusif Gawuna at this point in time, succumbed and submitted his thought and action to the will of God by congratulating the Kano state governor elect, Abba Gida-Gida as fondly called by his teeming supporters inspired by a trending political song composed by Tijjani Gandu.

Needless to say, the recent gubernatorial contest in Kano and some other states across the federation was said to be marred by various kind of irregularities.

This was the motives in Kano some are of the view that the Kano election deserved to be branded as “Inconclusive”

Candidly speaking, no election anywhere around the globe is flawless, unblemished or spotless clean from irregularities.

Yes! Election anywhere, particularly in our domain is a matter of outsmarting one’s opponent.

Perspectively, this time around NNPP this time around was lucky to outsmarted the defeated APC by either massive votes, election manoeuvering or any underhanded techniques the reader might think about.

The present is somehow similar and reminiscent to 2019 gubernatorial election, when APC in Kano was in political crescendo, whereas governor Ganduje flatly defeated Gida-Gida in Gama ward supplementary election which was earlier branded as “INCONCLUSIVE ”

The contextual issue at this point is how Dr. Gawuna civility and being magnanimous compelled him to succumbed to the will of God by solemnly conceded to rightful winner of 2023’s Kano gubernatorial election.

To be truthful, the white bearded Kano politician has taken a good stance worthy of emulations for placing his personal aspiration as a secondary priority below the Kano people’s wishes.

Dr. Nasiru Yusif Gawuna as a young politician embedded with seemingly promising future, time isn’t not to late for him to go back to the drawing board and start preparation to contest in the next dispensation.

Failure is an experience in disguise, but only comprehend by the discernible.
