Former Military Officer Charge Birnin Kudu Old Boys To Uplift The College Status

Birnin Kudu Old Boys Association of Government College Birnin Kudu also known as BIKOBA has charged it members at different strata to give back to the institution that produced them.

The call came at the height of the Annual General Meeting organized by the National body of the Forum last week at the college auditorium in Birnin Kudu Local Government of Jigawa State.

While speaking to journalists in a separate interview, Former President of the association, Col. Umaru Malami Rtd told journalists that the essence of the gathering is to come together and share experience on how to move the college forward.

He noted that education is no longer government affairs alone but requires every stakeholder to contribute his or her own quota in repositioning the sector, adding that government at different level has a lot to take care off.

Speaking in the same vein, Former Director of Finance of National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) who was also the guest at speaker said the college, which was established before independence, has produced notable individuals in both private and public sector and call on them to uplift the college from its current status.

According to him the college has produced eminent personalities among which are Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Former Governor of Jigawa State, Alh. Sule Lamido and the current Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, adding that one of the college products among them should salvage the situation.

Eminent personalities that graced the occasion, were Alh. Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa State and the current Emir of Dutse, Alh. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi.
