<p>The traditional ruler described the sterling performance by the state contingent as heroic, noting that the overall performance by Team Kano deserved to be praised.</p>
<p>The monarch in a statement issued on Monday evening in Kano said once again, Kano athletes have shown that the state retains it role as the frontline state in northern Nigeria and Nigeria at large.</p>
