Kano state commissioner for women affairs and social development, Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar has charged youths to engage in research and publication, to boost their academic performance and self development.
Dr. Zahra’u made the call, during a book launching on Arabic literature written by Nasir Almalikiy Aliyyul- Khawwas Sheikh Nasir Kabara.
According to her, book writing and publication among youths, would make them self reliant and reduce unemployment in the society.
The commissioner, described Arabic as a language that has uplifted Islamic knowledge to international standards,through well researched and up to date religious books used by renowed Islamic scholars from time immemorial.
Dr. Zahra’u Muhammad Umar, commended Nasir for his commitment and dedication, in his educational pursuit, saying that as a young man below the age of 25, he had succeeded in publishing many books, that would provide the requisite knowledge to students .
She advised parents and guardians to redouble their efforts, by inculcating good moral upbringing among their children, and supporting them to engage in meaningful research that would yield positive results.
