Ringim Local Government council has reacted over the death of two children in one of its IDPs camp as a result of malnutrition.
The local Government chairman Shehu Sule Udi stated this while distributing medicine and other items to the flood victims.
It was reported that two children have died at the Majiyawa IDPs camp over alleged malnutrition.
Reacting to the report, the local Government chairman who was represented by the Primary healthcare manager Surajo Muhammad said the two children died as a result of malaria and measles, not malnutrition.

“contrary to what was reported that the children died as a result of malnutrition,” he said.
He explained that the local Government is doing it’s best to provide a proper health care services to the citizens including the victims of the flood.
” We have also set up a mobile clinic to take good care of the flood victims.he said.
Shafi’u Majiyawa, one of the flood victims in the camp, thanked the local government chairman for responding to their needs.
He also urged the governments, donors, and individuals to support the victim with more food and other needs.
