Kano NYSC commiserates with flood, building collapse victims

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kano State has sympathized with Kano State Government and the Emirate council over the recent flooding that ravaged the market and some local government areas in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the NYSC state coordinator, Aisha Tata -Muhammad on Wednesday in Kano.

Muhammad also commiserated with management of Kantin-Kwari, people of the state and those affected directly or indirectly by the floods.

The Coordinator expressed her grief over the flood witnessed in some parts of the state.

She also expressed her deep sympathy over the recent collapse of a building at the prominent Beruit GSM Market in Kano metropolis.

“On behalf of the entire staff and NYSC corps members serving in the state, I sympathize with people and government of Kano State over the sad incident and pray for speedy recovery of the injured and those who lost their lives,” she said.

She then, appealed to residents to avoid dumping garbages in water ways to avert future occurrences.

Muhammad also stressed the need for residents to continue to cooperate with the government to solve the problems of floods that had rendered many homeless and destroyed valuable property.

The coordinator Prayed for Allah to prevent the occurrence of such devastating tragedy in the state.
