The former chairman of New Nigeria People’s Party in Kano Hisham Habib said the Gubernatorial Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s NNPP Abba Kabir Yusuf has edge over his opponents in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
Hisham Habib stated this during an Interview with an online Television Arewa agenda.
According to the NNPP stakeholder “wherever you go in Kano especially among an average voter Abba Kabir Yusuf is the talk of the town.
‘from rural areas to the metropolitan areas Abba Kabir Yusuf is the darling of the electorates”

On alleged defection of former Kano state Governor Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, the NNPP’S stakeholder said its painful for people like Malam Ibrahim Shekarau to leave the party ,but they will still forge ahead and campaign for their candidates in the 2023 election.
Currently there are about 3 to 4 contenders for the Kano’s coveted seat which include incumbent Kano state Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the APC,Abba Kabir Yusuf of the NNPP and Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada of the ADP and Sadik Aminu Wali of the PDP
