Group Decries High Number Of Schools Without Teachers In Jigawa

A group of Jigawa concern citizens have decried more construction of schools without teachers in the state.

The chairperson advocacy committee of the group Hajiya Furera Abdullahi Baffa dropped the hint while briefing news men on their findings on shortages of manpower in Jigawa civil service.

Hajiya Furera who said, massive retirement without recruitment hit Jigawa civil service said if measures are not taken may lead to collapse of the state.

According to her, the present administration has done well in the provision of Infrastructures but most of the infrastructures are empty without manpower to manage it.

She said, their findings shows that, there are number of schools with one or two teachers while others are closed due to lack of even one teacher.

The chairperson also said, the number of retirees are almost competing with number of current civil servants as the state has only about fifty eight thousands civil servants.

The group then called on government to adjust the embargo from recruitment of new staff to infrastructures.

The group also advised government to be making budget with new workers and equipments while building any infrastructures in the state.cfd
