<p>Kano State House of Assembly on Wednesday approved Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje&#8217;s request to access a loan facility of N10 billion from Access Bank to improve security in the state.</p>
<p>The approval followed a letter of request from the governor to the Assembly which was read by the Speaker, Hamisu Chidari during plenary on Wednesday.</p>
<p>According to the letter, the loan will be used to procure Close Circuit Television CCTV and other gadgets in order to further strengthen security in the State.</p>

<p>Speaking in favour of the loan, the Leader of the House, Labaran Madari, (APC-Warawa) noted that the loan has a single-digit interest rate with a repayment period of 10 years.</p>

<p>He said that the facility would also be use to build control room to gather information and intelligence.</p>
<p>Madari added the gadgets would be installed in all the headquarters of the five Emirates in the state.</p>
<p>The leader further said that equipment would enhance the capacity of security agencies to mitigate crime in the state and ensure security of lives and property of well-meaning citizens.</p>
