The speaker of the Kano House of Assembly, Hamisu Chidari has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency unopposed.
The returning Officer of the primary election , Aminu Sani made the declaration in Dambatta.
Sani announced that Chidari scored 51 votes in Makoda Local Government area and 47 votes in Dambatta Local Government respectively.

“A total number of 105 delegates cast their votes, Chidari got 98 votes while seven vote was invalid. Hamisu Chidari having scored the highest number of votes is hereby declared winner of the primary election,” he declared.
Chidari in his remarks, thanked the delegates and indeed the people of Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency for the confidence reposed in him.
The speaker appealed to other party members to join hands with him to deliver the APC in 2023.
He also commended the people of the area for a peaceful conduct of the exercise.
