<p dir="ltr">“Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje directed all political appointees running for elective offices in the forthcoming 2023 general elections to resign from their respective positions,” the statement said.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Mr Ganduje’s commissioner for Water Resources, Sadiq Wali, had earlier tendered his resignation and obtained governorship nomination form on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.</p>
