Suspension: Muhyi Floors Kano Assembly At Industrial Court

The National Industrial Court has not granted the prayers of Kano state house of assembly and the state public complain and anti corruption commission on a suit filed before it by the suspended chairman of Kano state public complain and anti corruption commission Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado.

The solicitors of 3rd and 5th defendants which is Kano state House of assembly Barrister Balarabe Mahmud the current chairman of the state public complain and anti-corruption commission have sought the National Industrial Court to re-assign the suit filed by Muhuyi Magaji to be heard and determined at the Kano division of the court .

In a letter of Reply by Solomon Olufemi Agunloye the Principal registrar 1 of the National Industrial Court told the solicitors of the 3rd and 5th defendants that the request for the transfer of the subject matter to Kano is not granted and they are also assured of the highest regard of the President of the National Industrial Court.

In December 2021 Muhyi Magaji Rimin Gado have filed a suit before Abuja Division of the National Industrial Court in which he entered Kano state government as 1st defendant, Kano state attorney general as second defendant,Kano state house of assembly as 3rd defendant ,4th defendant accountant general,5th defendant Barrister Balarabe Mahmud and 6th defendant the state police commissioner over his suspension as Kano public complain and anti-corruption chairman on July 5 2021.

Since his suspension on July 5th 2021 by Kano state government on the recommendation of the state house of assembly there has been a running battle between the suspended chairman of the state anti-corruption commission Muhuyi Magaji and the Kano state government.

Recently there was siege on his residence at Sharada GRA in Kano metropolis by the police allegedly trying to arrest him which did not succeed.
