A philanthropist organization in Kano, Dahiru Dawaki Foundation has secured the release of 37 prisoners with minor offences across five correctional centers in the state.
Founder/CEO of the organization Hajiya Yesmin Dahiru Dawaki made this known while addressing newsmen in Kano.

Hajiya Yesmin Dawaki who is a fashion designer by profession, developed interest in humanitarian activities to put smile on the faces of the less privileged people, especially women and children.
She said the aim of the organization is to create better future for women and children through digital literacy and digital empowerment.
” I feel so sad to see people including women imprisoned because of debts”.
The released prisoners include 16 Female and 21 Male and she promised to continue the empowerment as ”this is just the beginning”
She told newsmen in Kano that she is willing to do more on philanthropy and teaching women and the less previlege the skills they deserve to have a better future.
