As the Governorship Primaries for 2023 approaches strong indications have emerged that Kano state Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje may dump one of the most visible and ambitious Gubernatorial aspirants in Kano Abdulkarim Abdullahi Zaura popularly known as AA Zaura.
AA Zaura who contested the governorship under green party of Nigeria in the year 2019 joins the APC with the aim of actualizing his Gubernatorial ambition.
But the source told a popular Hausa online paper based in Kano Labarai24 that the Governor has changed his decision to support one of the ambitious Gubernatorial aspirants for Kano’s most exalted seat.

Return of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from Dubai on Friday 8th April may put to rest speculations who the governor want to support to fly the APC ticket in the 2023 Governorship election in Kano.
Some critical stakeholders in APC wants Governor Ganduje to compensate AA Zaura with senatorial ticket of Kano central but luck may have run out for AA Zaura from picking the senatorial ticket as the governor may have opt for Bashir Garba Lado a former in- law of Nigerias first military President General Ibrahim Babangida and a scion of former Head of state General Sani Abacha
AA Zaura is seen as a major financier of All Progressives Congress in Kano.
The source said Governor Ganduje will soon make his position known on who will succeed him in 2023 on APC platform.
