Centre Awards Covid -19 Vaccine Champions

The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD] has awarded the three COVID -19 Vaccines Champions.

The Prize Presentation of COVID-19 event was held at the CITAD office in Kano, on Thursday.

The contest participants were from six states comprising Kano, Kaduna, Kogi, Plateau, Bauchi and Borno.

Disney Ameh from Kano took the first position, scoring 94 points and awarded a refrigerator.

The competition which was conducted on public education on COVID-19 sponsored by Mark Arthur Foundation with a view to counter misinformation, fake news and false narratives hindering the needful to make the general public to have the basic awareness of COVID-19 pandemic.

 

In a remark, CITAD Executive Director,  Mallam Zakari Ya’u said the competition was meant to inspire others to educate people on the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

While Abdullahi Abdulhafiz from Plateau, came second, and got a Plasma TV.

Also, Jamila Musa from Kano, scored 65 points emerging third place and received a laptop.

Disney Ameh the first winner, said he was elated and overwhelmed with joy for scoring the highest point to emerge the overall champion.

Also, Abdullahi Abdulhafiz and Jamila Musa expressed happiness on their award in the competition, noting that this will encourage them to put more willingness and efforts to furnish the general public with needed information on the pandemic
