<p>This was disclosed by the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Zubairu Hamza Massu while declaring a two day retreat on Kano State Environmental Pollution Control Bill open in Kaduna.</p>
<p>The Deputy Speaker who represented the Speaker Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari said the retreat would among others address the numeurous environmental pollutions in Kano State.</p>
<p>Zubairu Hamza Massu said &#8221; we&#8217;re aware that our State is facing the threat of environmental pollutions such as air,water and soil,as well as radioactive and noise pollution to mention a few, all the above have various adverse health and operational effects on human beings hence the need for the control&#8221;</p>

<p>The Deputy Speaker said already the State House of Assembly is working on the bill and has since passed the stage of second reading,first allotted day.</p>
<p>Massu urged the participants to feel free and interact actively as well share ideas for the success of the retreat and to finally come up with an all- inclusive bill.</p>
<p>In his speech the State Commissioner of Environment,Dr Kabiru Ibrahim Getso &#8220;we converge here to deliberate and review the content of Kano State Pollution Control Bill.</p>
<p>Dr Getso further stressed that legislation is an important instrument in the control of environmental hazard as such I owned it a duty bound to expressed my sincere regards to the respected members of the House for their total commitement for the actualisation of the set objectives among others.</p>
