The civil society organizations working on health sector popularly known as (Jigawa health partners) identified some gaps in Jigawa Basic Health Care provision Fund (BHCPF).
The gaps identification was highlighted in a report made available during the assessment and presentation of research findings conducted by the partners on selected 81 facilities in the state.
The findings shows that, only 20 percent of the respondents understood BHCPF as formal sector program implemented by JICHMA adding that 27.7 percent responded that 10 percent of the total service cost is to be paid while 64 percent opined that percentage are paid on salary.

Partners findings also revealed that, 63.2 percent where asked to buy drugs outside the facility as 65 percent are not satisfied with quality of drugs.
According to the findings, 39.9 percent of the respondents are not satisfied with process of consultation in the facilities while only 29.9 percent are satisfied with opening and closing time of the facilities.
While responding to the findings, the permanent secretary Jigawa state ministry of health Dr Salisu Mu’az, lamented the lapses adding that the program is new as it commenced just last year.
The permanent secretary also related the problems with selfish attitudes and inadequate enlightenment by the media partners.
While making his remarks, the chairman of the coalition of health partners in Jigawa, comrade Baffa Nayaya said, the aims of the assessment is monitor the program and advice the related authorities for a better health services delivery in Jigawa state
