<p>In a statement obtained by POLITICS DIGEST and signed by Engr Mustapha Masanawa Kabo, the group described the appointment of Garo as Patron of Kano North Forum as baseless and at no point his name was mentioned during its courtesy call to the governor.</p>
<p>On the appointment of Ganduje as Grand Patron, Masanawa reiterated that Ganduje as a governor with track record in the public service has all it takes as Grand Patron of Kano North Forum and his appointment was ratified by all members of the forum.</p>
<p>It would be recalled that the Kano North Forum have appointed Governor Abdullahi Ganduje as its Grand Patron and Murtala Garo as Patron for the overall development of the area in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor Abba Anwar.</p><div class="qQ6wYon3" style="clear:both;float:left;width:100%;margin:0 0 20px 0;"><script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js"></script>

<p>The Forum made this known during a speech at a courtesy call to the governor. The speech which was read by Ibrahim Danazumi Gwarzo on behalf of the Chairman Nu&#8217;uman Barau Dambatta.</p>

<p>&#8220;The statement only mentioned the name of Ganduje with the exception of Murtala, the name of the Commissioner was only brought in for cheap political gain.</p>
<p>The Commissioner is contesting for governorship, they want to use the forum of people of high calibre like this to endorse the Commissioner.</p>
<p>Technocrats, clerics, business men of Kano North would not stoop so low for someone uneducated talk less of endorsing him for governorship.</p>
<p>What has Murtala done to Kano North? Has he brought any development to the zone, what is the condition of our roads? He can&#8217;t even complete the five kilometre roads of the 44 local governments.</p>
<p>On what criteria they appointed him as Patron? Is it on the basis of his education or professional and political success?</p>
<p>Is it on the basis of age? We have no ambiguity on the governor but on Garo, there is something fishy.</p>
<p>The person that read the speech didn&#8217;t consult Mallam Nuuman Barau Dambatta who is away for some personal engagement.</p>
<p>A technocrat with excelled career in the public service would not in any way to this mess and would not support it.</p>
<p>Nuuman Barau have confirmed to many of us that he was neither consulted nor in any way part of the Kano North Forum&#8221;. Engr Masanawa Kabo Said.</p>
<p>Murtala Garo is the anointed governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress in Kano with the backing of the first family.</p>
<p>He was first endorsed and anointed by the wife of the governor Dr Hafsat Abdullahi Ganduje during an empowerment programme at Bichi.</p>
