Alleged Thuggery:DSS Arrests Two Council Chairmen In Kano,Declares One Wanted

The Department of state security services (DSS) has arrested Council Chairmen of Gwarzo and Kano Municipal, Bashir Abdullahi Kutama and Faizu Alfindiki respectively, for alleged using armed political thugs in the State.

It was gathered that recently about three Persons were killed during political activities of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje at various local government areas of the State, issue that is threatening the peaceful coexistence in the state.

A senior DSS officer who does not want his name in the print, on Wednesday said they have arrested Faizu Alfindiki the Chairman of Kano Municipal and Bashir Abdullahi Kutama Chairman of Gwarzo Local Governments, over allegations of sponsoring political thuggery in the State, culminating to attacks and subsequent killings of innocent citizens.

The DSS also placed Khalid Ishaq Diso Chairman of Gwale Local Government area of Kano wanted on the same allegations, while one Dr Sabiu an SSA to the Governor was also arrested by the Security on the same allegations.

Although the police authorities confirmed the death of one person.
