<p>On February 9, Justice K. Dabo barred Mr Gwarzo, one of the two contestants of the PDP zonal chairmanship congress, from participating in all party affairs pending the determination of the motion on notice.</p>
<p>Mr Gwarzo, who was suspended by the party in Kano, is contesting for the North West zonal chairmanship alongside Mohammed Jamo, who is backed by a former governor of Kano, Rabiu Kwankwaso.</p>

<p>“The ex-parte order made on 9/2/2022 granted without jurisdiction hence struck out.</p>
<p>“The High Court lacks jurisdiction to hear and determine the originating summons filed by the plaintiff, suit therefore struck out,” the order, dated March 3, 2022, read.</p>
<p>Reports Indicate that the leadership of the party had on February 10 suspended the congress to avoid the emergence of Mr Kwankwaso’s candidate, Mohammed Jamu, unopposed.</p>
<p>The former governor is planning to defect to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, and contest for president.</p>
