<p>Excessive exposure to electronic sound can lead total hearing loss. <p>Dr Yasir cited some of the major causes of Noise Induced Hearing Loss as excessive use of smartphones earpieces, generator sounds, unregulated noise from event loudspeakers and sudden exposure to loud noise for short or long duration among other factors.</p>
<p>Similarly, Prof Abubakar Danjuma Salisu a consultant department of Otorhinolaryngology ENT AKTH, also sensitized staff of the hospital on the implications of excessive exposure to sound and measures of curtailing Noise Induced hearing loss.</p>
