Kano Girls Secondary School Where Students Take Lessons Under A Tree

Government Girls secondary school Arabic Gandu model Gezawa is situated in Kano state North-western Nigeria.

The School has 8 classes with four blocks,but due to the surging number of students the 8 class rooms are not enough to accommodate the students.

Investigation by NIGERIAN TRACKER correspondent reveal that the chucked up classrooms that are eight in number has over 100 to over 150 girls hence the congestion in the classes.

The Students

The School authorities have no option than to form another four classes under Tree for the students to take lessons.

The four classes under the Tree also have more than 100 girls being taught every five days by their teachers.

Since its the only Arabic girls secondary school in the area apart from that of Tsamiyar Kara,the girls came from Sararin Gezawa town ,Danja and Wase towns.

During the rainy season the remaining students taking classes under the tree have no option than to take refuge in the other classes till the rain stops.

When contacted by NIGERIAN TRACKER the executive secretary of Kano state teachers service board Dr Bello Shehu his phone is switched off while the state commissioner for education Sunusi Kiru did not answer the calls put to him by our correspondent
