Kano State House of Assembly has called on the state government to establish Kano State polytechnic campus in Rogo Local Government Area.
This followed the adoption of a motion of urgent public interest by Alhaji Magaji Zarewa, (APC- Rogo) at plenary, presided over by Speaker Hamisu Ibrahim-Chidari on Monday.
Presenting the motion, Zarewa said that the campus, if established would promote the educational quest of the people of the area, the state and the nation at large.

The lawmaker stressed that it would also boost the economic fortunes of the area and provide jobs for the teaming youths of the area.
“The request if granted will also reduce social vices among youths as the inhabitant would be exposed to the prospects in education,” he explained.
Zarewa further said that education was the only asset that could be bequeathed to the next generation.
In his contribution, the deputy speaker, Alhaji Hamza Massu, (APC-Sumaila) said when established, the campus would address the problem of admission faced by thousands of youths seeking higher education.
Kabiru Dashi , (APC-Kiru), in his contribution also added that the campus would provide job opportunities to people from Kiru, Bebeji, Karaye and also people from neighboring Kaduna state.
After deliberation by the lawmakers, the house unanimously adopted the motion and urged the state government to take necessary action on the issue.
