Kano State House of Assembly has approved the construction of 5,000 housing units for civil servants , public servants and teachers in the state.
The Speaker of the Assembly, Hamisu Chidari, on Monday read at the plenary, a letter from Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje seeking for approaval in implementing the project across the 44 local government areas of the state.
After deliberations by the lawmakers, the house unanimously approved the housing project across the state.
Chidari added that, according to the letter, the project w be under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Kano State Policy Coordination and Implementation Directorate, Alhaji Rabi’u Bichi.
Meanwhile, the House has also received a petition from Parents Teachers Association(PTA) of Badi’ul Islam, in Dala Quarters , over efforts by some unknown persons to construct a building within the school.

The lawmakers mandated its committees on public petition and history and tourism to investigate and submit report within two weeks for further legislative action.
