Kano Elevates Hardworking Class Teacher To The Rank Of Headmaster

The Executive Chairman State Universal Basic Education Board, Dr. Danlami Hayyo , has promoted Malama Halima Muhammad an experienced and dedicated teacher of Bachirawa Primary School to the rank of a Head Teacher and instantly posted to Kadawa Primary School all in Ungogo Local Government area.

Dr. Danlami Hayyo, announced the decision when the entire management of the Board paid unscheduled visit to the schools, adding that the visit was part of routine monitoring exercise to ensure effective service delivery.

While directing the relevant officials concern to immediate promotion of three other dedicated teachers of Bachirawa Primary School, the Executive Chairman reemphasized that the Board will not relent in its effort in rewarding hard working teachers while unpatriotic teachers who are in the habit of absenteeism and late coming to schools change to a new life or face wrath of the law accordingly.

In the same vein, Dr. Hayyo, has directed the swaping of 20 teachers each from Bachirawa Primary School to Kadawa Primary School and at the same time announced automatic appointment to a volunteer teacher in the school for a period of 5 years, adding that the appointment was to encourage the teacher for her sacrifices and dedication.

Speaking at Kadawa Science and Mathematics Project Primary School, the Executive Chairman, said they were at the school to assess and monitor teaching and learning activities as well as condition of structures in the school.

Commenting further, Dr. Hayyo expressed his dissatisfaction with the detoriated nature and condition of the school.

He then charged Parents’ Teachers Association(PTA) and the School Based Management Committee (SBMC) to be vigilant on and always supportive to school properties and the Board in its effort at providing conducive atmosphere for effective teaching and learning in schools.

He restated that collection of Parents and Teachers Association levy is the responsibility of PTA’s member not any Teacher or Head teacher therefore warned Head Teachers and Teachers to desist from any unethical act.

 

Other school visited by the team was Rijiyar Zaki Primary School.

In response, the Head Teachers of Bachirawa Primary School and Rijiyar Zaki Primary School, thanked the Executive Chairman and his team for the visit and assured to put in to use recommendations by the team to uplift the standard of Education in the area.
