Since October 16 2021 Kano APC is factionalized between Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago backed by former Governor of Kano state Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and Abdullahi Abbas being backed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
But Abuja Federal High court Judgement has upheld congresses conducted by Malam Ibrahim Shekarau which recognise Ahmad Haruna Zago as Kano APC chairman.
