Emir Of Dutse Raises Concern Over Incessant Road Accidents

The Emir of Dutse in Jigawa State Dr. Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi has raised concerned over the incessant road accidents that is claiming the lives of innocent Nigeriains on daily basis along Kano-Maiduguri road.

The Emir raised the concerned at the
the official Commissioning and Handover of the Kano – Maiduguri Road Section II ( Shuwarin – Azare) held at Shiwarin town in Jigawa State.

The Emir said many people have lost their lives in a number of road accidents especially at two round about at Kiyawa town in Jigawa State.

He called for urgent attention by the Federal Government to avert further calamities in the area.

“I am appealing to you to look at the two Kiyawa roundabout along Shiwarin to Azare road and see what you can do to reduce the hardship caused as a result of accidents” he said.

Commissioning the project President Muhammadu said the project covered about 263km of the Kano-Maiduguri road section ll (Shiwarin-azare) with spur from Dutse to Kwanar Huguma.

He said the road linked Jigawa, Bauchi state and is a critical components of the National road network.

Represented by the Minister of Water Resources Engr. Suleiman Adamu urged the road users to drive in accordance of the law as stipulated with higher way code.

Earlier, the Executive Governor of Jigawa state Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar MON, mni commended President Muhammadu Buhari for carrying out development projects in Jigawa state and Nigeria at large.
