In the opening match of the 2021 Kaduna International Polo Tournament which was Flagg off at the Ahmadu Yakubu Polo Ground on Saturday, Lagos Kuda suffered a massive defeat from Titans.
Emir of Katsina and the Grand Patron of Kaduna Polo Club, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Mumuni Kabir Usman watched as Lagos Kuda suffered a 2-5 defeat from businesslike Titans in battle for the Imani Cup.
At the end of the first chukka, Lagos Kuda were yet to score, while Titans were 3 goals up.
Lagos Kuda registered in the score chart as they scored a goal in the third chukka, with Titans also adding one, ending it 1-4.
Fourth chukka witnessed the first goal from Lagos Kuda in a strong comeback bid. Titans sensing the closing gap, put in more efforts and were rewarded with a goal, to end the fourth chukka 2-5.
Another prominent dignitary who watched the opening match was Senator Haliru (Jika Dokajen Bauchi), who is the founder of Bauchi Dokaji Polo Team, a member of IGP Strikers and the Chairman of Senate Committee on Police
