The wife of Kano state governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has endorsed Kano state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo to succeed her husband Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in 2023.
Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje made the statement in an audio clip that went viral on social media.
Hajiya Hafsat Ganduje who is popularly refered to as Gwaggo was reported to have made the statement during a gathering in Kano.
According to Gwaggo Murtala Sule Garo is very hardworking and dogged fighter ,when we embarked on a journey he had sleepless night.
Therefore we need energetic and committed youth to take over from us and she looked at Murtala Sule Garo.
The gathering were seen jubilating and cheering the Governor’s wife.
During the 2019 Governorship election Kano state Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and Murtala Sule Garo were sighted storming collation centre and tear results before they were arrested by the police.
