When I became the President of this Noble Association,I realized two kinds of people those who play to the gallery and want recognition and those who truly care about our old students and our old school.

Senior Kisco truly cared and lived by the tenets of Pro Unitate.

An old student contacted me and wanted to join the NDA, he is from the Eastern part of the Country.

I never met the old student and I never met General Husseini.

I got in touch with the immediate past President senior Chinyere and she gave me his number and asked me to call him, that he will help and he did.

I called and was surprised, he said my President, how are you and we exchanged pleasantries, he had my number.

Major General Hussein Ahmad Buried In Abuja

I told him an old student wanted to join the NDA and he said to send his details and so it was, this old student later called and thanked me that he has gotten the admission.

That was General Husseini, senior Kisco.

The last time I was in our school exactly two months ago, he had fully renovated Borno House and built the Sports Pavilion.

I reached out to him to thank him but he did not answer his call at that time,I tried the second time and I still wasn’t lucky to reach him.

I will reach out to him in good time I thought and the next news I heard was of his demise.

There is a lesson for all of us in the life he lived.

General Husseini impacted and showed love to us and the school with such quiet humility.

He is by far the largest single individual to have such an impact to our old students and old school in recent times.

It behoves all of us to use the life of General Husseini as an example of a Fegocomite.

I call on all of us to live by his example.

It’s a shame that we have to go out begging to hold a modest AGC or execute a project.

Are we saying we don’t have individuals that can change the narrative?

Adieu senior, you left us a lesson in humility and lived for our old school.

I will work with the school authorities and my advisory council to have the  Pavilion named after you.

With a lot of love and respect, I wish you a peaceful journey and May   Arjannatul fidaus be your abode, General Husseini.

There was a General on board.
