Eid-el-Kabir: Garo Urges Muslims To Be Generous To One Another

Kano State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo has appealed to Muslims to support one another and be generous to neighbors for a happy eid-el Kabir celebration.

In a Sallah message, he signed personally, on Monday, urged faithful to use the occasion of the eid-el-Kabir to intensify prayers for the improved security situation in the state and Nigeria at large.

Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo in his message said with the recent confirmation of the Delta variant of Coronavirus (COVID-19), appealed to the Muslim faithful to celebrate the Sallah moderately.

He specifically urged them to observe the non-pharmaceutical protocols as directed by the government in order to curb its spread.

He lauded the state government for canceling the Eid-el-Kabir durbar celebration across the five emirates so as to protect residents from the spread of COVID-19.

 

Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo called on Muslims to exhibit the spirit of sacrifice the Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes.

 

“We must therefore use the eld-el-Kabir as another opportunity for us to reflect on the essence of sacrifice and humility as fulcrums for the promotion of harmonious relationship in the state,” he said.

 

“I sincerely appeal to the faithful to harness their thoughts and energies towards the development of Kano state and the country by joining hands with the Gov. Abdullahi Umar Gganduje led Government to help  realize its dream of a better Kano.’’

 

Quoting from the Qur’an Chapter 2 verse 45, which say ‘Nay, seek Allah’s help with patience, perseverance and prayer…’ Garo called on the resident across the state to use the festive period to supplicate to God for peace, progress and love among the people.
