Legal Aid Council of Nigeria Task  Kano Communities On Importance of  Their  Rights

Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, LACON has urged Kano residents to resort to the effective utilization of the instrument of the law to pursue the enforcement of their rights.

 

The director of international operations, LACON, barrister Bamidele Ibikunle , during a sensitization awareness campaign held at RiminKebe quarters, Kano, Tuesday enjoined residents not to relent to seek the respect of their rights in all facets of life.

He notes that LACON  has strengthened its mechanism to further provide free legal services to indigent persons and other vulnerable persons in the state., urging them to always approach the LACON office to table their complaints about its officers to facilitate their rights to access to justice.

 

In her remarks, barrister Hafsat Zeenat Buhari attached to Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative, IWEI  cautioned parents on the essence to preserve family maintenance culture.

 

According to Hafsat, the anti societal values ravaging most communities in the state could be curbed through proper family maintenance saying giving priority to family cultural approaches by both parents would ride the society of eminence of mass cases of domestic violence been recorded across the state.
