Gunmen Suspected to be armed bandits have abducted the provost of College of Arts and Animal Science Bakura,in Zamfara State Habibu Mainasara the early hours of Sunda just as president Muhammad Buhari ordered military to crush bandits in the State.
According to family source, the armed bandits stormed the resident of the provost around 2:00am of today (Sunday) and abducted him at his official resident located at Government Science Secondary School, Bakura in the State.
The source revealed that he was kidnapped this morning and that nobody knows his whereabouts and his abductors have not open either of their GSM lines for communication.
Zamfara State police command has confirmed the abduction of the provost college of Art and animals sciences Bakura Mallam Habibu Mainasara.
Confirming the incident,the police public relations officer, PPRO SP Mohammed Shehu said that the provost was kidnapped at his resident located at Sabon gari Bakura local government area in Zamfara State.
According to police spokesman,the hoodlums stormed the provost house around 1.30am of sunday and whisked him to an unknown destination.
The police, however assured that team of security personnel have been deployed to ensure that the provost is rescued safely.
