MAAUN condoles Ex-Minister of Power, Bashir Dalhatu over mother, step mother’s death in Kano

The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), has condoled with the former Minister of Power, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu and Waziri of Dutse over the death of his mother and step mother on the same day (Wednesday, June 9, 2021).

The mother of the former Minister, Hajiya Fatima Dalhatu died at the age of 85, while his step mother, Hajiya Rukayya Dalhatu died at the age of 95.

The condolence message was contained in a statement signed by the President
of the university, a copy of which was made available to newsmen in Kano on Saturday.

According to the statement, the death of the two mothers, Hajiya Fatima and Hajiya Rukayya was great loss not only to their immediate families but to the entire country as the deceased had produced leaders who contributed towards the development of the country as well as ensuring that Nigeria remains united and indivisible country.

“The President and Founder of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo on behalf of the Management wishes to extend his condolence to the entire families and relatives of the deceased mothers,” the statement said.

Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and grant them Aljannah Firdaus and give their families the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
