NDE Trains Unemployed Youths On Environmental Beautification

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced a 3 months apprenticeship training of unemployed youths in Zamfara State on Environmental Beautification under its Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS)

According to the Director General of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo the youths will be trained on Plaster of Paris (POP) Interlocking and Flowering through apprenticeship scheme with monthly stipend and take off grant after the training, saying the program which is under the auspices of Special Public Works Department of the NDE was designed to mitigate the issue of unemployment among youths across the country.

In his remarks during an orientation program for the beneficiaries the DG who was represented by the Zamfara State coordinator of the NDE Malam Abdullahi Yakubu said 28 youths were selected 2 from from each local government of the state will be on training from 19th April, 2021 to 19th July, 2021

Speaking, the Director special public works Department NDE headquarters Abuja who was represented by SPW staff Idris Dauda encouraged the youths to learn the trades very with a view to becoming self reliant.

He said, the NDE will provide take off grant of cash components for each trade to empower them after the training.
