Remedy For Nigerian Youths

Sir. Kuli Kuli.

If you’re below the age of 40, quickly define what you want, how you want it and why you want it; if not the world would ‘define it for you the way they want it for you’.

If you’re an activist or social critic, why don’t you grow from usual activism that’s mostly about campaigns, criticisms, protests, solidarity walks, aluta gargantua and writings on social media, try becoming real participant in the affairs of governance, either through politics or community based services.

You can’t continue wasting your time, energy, resources and even risking your life confronting these “power block mafias”. Why don’t you participate fully in politics to effect the desired change you want to see even if you’ll be the “good Mafia”?

Weather we like it or not, politics and elections are what give powers to formulate policies and to execute them; not ranting on social media; and no matter your criticism; you can’t change anything but make them worst!. Join anywhere and start anyhow!

Why are we afraid to associate with politics and politicians even though we want to see change!. We claim to be ‘Comrades’ but allowing the ones we call ‘Mafias’ to be the sole drivers of politics. Do ‘Activist Comarados’ make laws and policies more than the ‘Partisan Politicians’?.

Do ‘Comrades’ decide the prizes of commodity in our markets?. When do we grow above mere critics to becoming conscious citizens that won’t just sit and watch things happening, but to be part or even make them happen!. I chose to be both an activist and shall soon be a full time politician.

Wallahi, if we don’t participate in the political process of Nigeria, we can’t grow an inch and we would be left with our usual noise making while those in the political circle continue to grow. We must choose political camps no matter how “rusty or dusty” they may be; they’re just a “necessary evil” that we can’t do without.

We must redefine our activism for ‘Social and political change’. The youth must learn that radicalism no more have market, even the richest business men, religious clerics, traditional rulers aligns with a political camps in order to float.

The bitter truth is, politics breeds government, while the government controls everything and everyone, including our religions and livelihood. Don’t be fooled by “Hot headedness”. Work with realities to define relevance for yourself and the society.

I recommend that you should choose among the 4 Mafias, APC, PDP, PRP and APGA, we’re talking about “power or closer to power” not wasting time. Identify who to mentor you among the bigwigs, for godfatherism is a brutal reality that is unavoidable and unchangeable.

Don’t be a complainant, be an actor, force yourself into the circle, penetrate to dominate where you can, be loyal where you should and know that grassroot politics isn’t about degrees or class, its pure survival of the fittest; just join any political cliques!.

Choose weather you want to be successful or Miserable, weather your “strong head” will lead you to peril or you want to gain relevance that’ll promote and elevate your status for the benefit of your family, friends and the society. Just make a choice!.
