Globally the Media Reportage from various main stream Media houses , portray the plight of Migrants in Negative perspective rather than Positive , which left a huge void (Gap ) that need to be amended or correct the notion and perception of the people , to look at it in different ways in double edge swords of Challenges and Opportunities.

Looking at the Media Reportage globally the trend is intertwined, in giving them Blanket judgement that illustrate them as criminals , problem ,a burden for their host countries rather than as partners of progress that’s comes with skilled labour ,manpower, innovation and developmental ideas.

Therefore there’s need for the general overhaul and contextual perceptions change , within the Media news outage and gatekeeping in delivering verified informations that are balanced and inclusive in narrating the Migrants flights and scenarios , and their core context ,with the heavy burden they suffered and carried in their quest for safer and serene environment for living.

The Ethical guidelines on migration need to be reviewed and broaden the knowledge of Nigerian Media Agencies, and their reporters in discharging their duties based on ethical frameworks on Migration positively to impact on policies implementation that concerns Migrants.

Taking into consideration the impact and importance of the Media, in shaping the public perception, the concept of Media Migration Reportage, will have significant impact in improving the Immigrant flights in right terminologies without denegrating them , also it will enhance the understanding of the general migration context globally and Nigeria.
