Zamfara First Lady Bags Indigenous First Lady Of The Year Award

The Indigenous Women Award (IWA) has awarded the First Lady of Zamfara state, Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle as the Indigenous First Lady of the Year.

The award which is sponsored by the Indigenous Organization was given to the First Lady for her steadfast contribution and consistency in promoting indigenous content globally. .

The First Lady was awarded on merit due to her commitments in promoting and helping women in the state and also working tired less on protecting gender equality promote indigenous content

Hajiya Aisha Bello Matawalle who was nominated along with the First Lady of Gombe, Kaduna and Kwara emerged as the best choice to the award because of her passion to uplift women in Zamfara state.

In a statement by the chief Press secretary office of the first lady Zainab Shuaibu Abdullahi said the organizers focuses on great leaders who have the heart for the development of the youth and girl child which is the main thrust of the First Lady pet project project such as the Zamfara women empowerment programme, the fight her against rape and Genders Based Violence.
