The Executive Chairman , Kano state Sports Commission, KSSC, Ibrahim Galadima has applaud the courage of athletes and official representing the state at the 20th National Sports Festival in Edo state.
The Kano born sports administrator said members of Team Kano at the games have defy all odds to put up a commendable performance.
Galadima , while assessing the performance of Team Kano in an interview with sports writers at Prestige hotel in Benin city in Edo state , on Saturday morning said the number of medals so far won by the state athletes calls for appreciation .

According to him, Covid-19 pandemic invoked hitches both physiological and financial , adding that against these odds, Team Kano is living up to expectation.
Galadima expressed optimism that the state stand the chances of being counted among the top five on the medals log at the end of the game.
He said Team Kano came overall 8th position at the last edition of the fiesta in Abuja, boasting that Kano will surpass the previous position, despite the challenges caused by the paucity of funds.
He said ” some of the athletes had to travel to the games without adequate camping, what you are seeing today is as a result of the trust they have in us.
“out of over 20 games we are competing in, we have competed and won medals in 10 events, which means we are still hoping for more medals in about 10 more events . ” Galadima stated.
