The Hausa community in Edo state , Friday night , played host to members of Sports Writers Association if Nigeria, Kano state chapter .
The community received members of the media team attached to Team Kano at the ongoing sports fiesta at their Aduwawa quarters within the jurisdiction of the ancient kingdom.
The chairman Kayan Gwari traders , Mallam Muhammed Fanga thanked the visitors for carving time to visit the community.
He said ” we are here in Edo sourcing for our daily bread, the good news is that we are living in peace and harmony with our host communities in Edo state .

“we are always conscious of the importance of living in peace.” Fanga said
The Vice President, SWAN , North West zone, Lurwanu Idris Malikawa urged the sons and daughters of Arewa in diaspora to always embrace peace and shun acts that could portray them and their race in bad rays.
Malikawa said ” you must always remember that you are ambassadors, also that as you progress in your economic endeavours , please am appealing to you to always remember home and also especially the youths among you should always preserve and showcase our culture and values, in good light wherever you all find yourselves in any part of our great country Nigeria.”
A Frontline member of the community, Ashiru Alhassan disclosed that people of Hausa origin residing in Edo are engaged in legitimate trades such like public transportation, livestocks, textiles, grains and legumes.
Ashiru said Hausa communities are located in the three senatorial districts in the state, noting that they are living in peace .
He assured the visiting journalists from Kano that they will continue to live in the state as good citizens and to always conduct themselves as worthy ambassadors.
The guest were served with assorted beverages and roasted chicken, while they also performed a joint observation of early and late evening Muslim.prayer sessions in mosque located.in the heart of the community.
