The financial crisis that incited the attempted bringing to an abrupt end of the National Sports Festival ongoing in Edo state have been resolved.
The federal ministry of youths and sports development on Thursday night said the ministry has reached a compromise with the host state.
The ministry’s permanent secretary, Nebeolisa Amako blammed communication gap for the prolonged tension caused by the decision of Edo state government to shut down the games village .

He said ” there was an information gap, the games are ongoing and we assure you there won’t be any closure till the closing of the National Sports Festival.
The chairman Local Organizing Committee, LOC Edo 2020 and deputy governor of the host state, Philip Shaibu ,Friday morning confirmed that the state government has shelved it’s eaekier decision to shut down the games .
Shaibu in a chat with journalists at Uniben mini stadium note that stakeholders have engaged in critical moves to arrest the factors threating the completion of Nigeria’s mini Olympics ongoing in Edo.
It would be recalled that host Edo state last Wednesday threatened to bring the games to an abrupt end, citing lack of financial support from the federal government through the federal ministry of youths and sports development .
